Type each side in any order and in your own words — FIOS keys on the field, not the row, normalizes both (dates, sides, rates, day-counts, identifiers with check-digit validation) and lights each field green when they agree or red when they differ. When every field is green the trade is ready to affirm — one click books both firms from the same record. Filter to Red only on a big structured trade to see just what needs a conversation (when there's nothing red, the list shows a clear all-clear — the fields haven't gone anywhere, the filter is just doing its job). Add a field the template doesn't cover, remove one that doesn't apply, then Re-verify and export the whole comparison to CSV/JSON — the export records every field, both sides, the normalized value, and its status (MATCH / DIFF / MISSING).
